John's Guitars?

Post by xcoyle »

I am looking at the Tony Bacon book (pg. 19), and all three of John's guitars have a strange ware mark at the second fret. Anyone know what this is from?

Very good question Xcoyle. I have talked with Paul Day about this. It is a shadow. Tony Bacon had a brief period to take these photos and this was the shadow from the guitar stand.

Peter,

I read this and for some reason clicked on the beatles site and read your personnal John Lennon experience in 1980. What a phenomenal personal story that truly is a memory for a life time.

Thanks for sharing; I wish I had read that earlier.

peace and thanks,
dave

Probably his three most famous were the Ric, J-160, and the Casino.
