I'm leaving the UK just a couple of days before this show. It's really driving me nuts that I can't change my plans. Today's announcement makes it even worse...

It's on the offical site and Dave has said it's true. I hop Rog doesn't back out. I can't wait for the DVD. I hope they show it on TV down here.

What are they gonna open with? "Shine On" with Roger singing? "In The Flesh"?

They better play something from Animals! Not just Dark Side, WYWH, and the Wall. It would be great if they played some Final Cut stuff too. Even some of Dave's Floyd... Roger's solo stuff? I'm going to give myself "brain damage" just thinking about it.

Sorry... bad pun.

Syd's too broken to play with. Still with Rog, Dave, Nick, and Rick, I'm happy. I thought this would never happen. If Floyd did a world tour without Roger again I'd go see it.

I reckon they'll open with "The Fletcher Memorial Home", Nate. They're all nearly old enough to be in one!! Image

I WISH! "Not Now John" would be funny for the American broadcast.
"F*** all that, I've gotta get on with these!"

"Dogs" would be great. "Welcome To The Machine" with Dave singing. "Set The Controls"..... So may songs to choose from. I hope Roger's voice is good enough to still do "Run Like Hell" with Dave.

Given the fact that they haven't played together since 1981, I have a feeling they will keep it rather simple. I HIGHLY doubt they will play ANYTHING from Final Cut, since it was so acrimonious. It'll probably be some Dark Side stuff, maybe Wish You Were Here, and a few from The Wall.
I saw Roger on his last tour, and he sounded (And PLAYED) great. Image

Hope BDG plays some lap steel stuff - he does in all his shows these days!

If they do "One Of These Days" BDG will use a lap steel.

Roger sound great on his last tour but from that tour he lost some points with me. On "Every Strangers Eyes" he lip-synced the high part. Why include it if you have to fake it?

They will most likely stick to those three albums but if they pull out a couple of oldies I'll be happy. If they do "Cymbaline" or "Green Is The Colour", I'll run around the room screaming. Although BDG doesn't like doing "Cymbaline". Not likely but I can dream.

Who are they gonna get for the rest of the band? Mix Roger's and and Dave's band together? Jon Carin will be there. He played on Both of Floyd's post Waters live albums and on Roger's Live album. What about the backup girls? Katie Kissoon & P.P. Arnold or Durga McBroom & Sam Brown? (I can only dream that Rachel Fury will show up! She's Purdy!) Guitar players? Tim Renwick or Snowy White? So many choices! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

It's a nice dilemma to have! It could be Andy Fairweather-Low (he played with both in the past, as well as Clapton) and/or maybe Doyle Bramhall? (unlikely).

Ah, forgot about Andy! Would they get Scott Page (minus the huge mullet) to play sax and rhythm guitar? Snowy played the guitar solo on the 8 track version of "Pigs on the Wing" and on "Is There Anybody Out There". Doyle kinda sucked.

If they do "The Great Gig in the Sky" it better sound as good as on the "Delicate Sound of Thunder" video. Rachel, Durga, and Margret were better than Claire Torry on the studio version IMHO. The Pulse version just sucked. Sam Brown was awful! She wasn't singing, she was screaming. That's why I'm praying Rachel Fury will be there. (She's purdy!) Just amazing. Don't bring back Claire Torry. She'll botch it just like Knebworth in 1990!
