Sloan are one of the greatest bands of the last 10 years - criminally overlooked.

One of my faves, great call Dave!!!

Sloan are great. I like all of their records, especially "Navy Blues," which is brilliant. Criminally overlooked is correct!

We used to play "Underwhelmed" non-stop at the College Radiostation I worked at when I was in College.

Yes, Sloan are a VERY underappreciated band here in the states. Great guitar pop music.

Sloan are indeed fine...anyone reading this who likes the Beatles and all that great old stuff, would probably appreciate Sloan. They are deferential to the old stuff without being derivative.

Wow!Thanks for the tip.I never heard of Sloan before but after I read your posts I just went to my Real Rhapsody and added the A-Sides Win and Action Pact CDs to my Virtual Libary. That worth the $9.98 monthly fee just for those 2 CDs.I love Rhapsody! What kinda Rick is that in the picture a 330?

Your next purchases should be "Navy Blues" & "One Chord To Another".

Fine, fine records...

I want to second Chris' recommendation: "Navy Blues" and "One Chord To Another." Great rock and roll, great albums.

I'm a big Sloan fan and highly recommend any of their stuff - terrific power pop!. IMO "One Chord To Another" sounds the most "Beatley" to my ears.
