I have no idea what you are asking here ...please re-phrase your question .

Are you asking what will paint the cover to the bridge pickup?
are you planning on painting the chrome parts?
Are you re painting the bobbin of the coil?

Are you refinishing the wood and want to know how to do that ?

Please re ask .
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!

I was going to get a custom cover for the neck pickup and I wanted to know what kind of material for the pickup cover is best to have a finish put on.

What seems to be the issue with this Rick's finish?
The ideal mix leaves the bass player louder than the rest of the band put together!

Gary ....from all of Dan's postings ...it seems that he is about to attempt to make his own pickup and drop it into a Rick bass ...at least that is what I surmise.

It seems that he want to know what to paint it with .
Then in another posting he wants to know what type of paint do you spray metal parts with !

He is up to something !

I was like this when I was 15 to 18 years old ....I hope he does not wreck something or just alter something that he thinks is history , when in fact it is fixable .

Dan....I would try experimenting on an Asian guitar ..something like an Indonesian instrument.Something that will NEVER attain collector status.
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!

LOL! You guys guessed my plan. I'm actually going to try to build a completely new guitar first. i decided to start fresh, rather than mess anything up on a rick 4001. I am, on the other hand, trying to replicate a ric body style. I have learned an amazing amount on this forum alone!
