New Car.

Post by oreca »

I just wanted to share that we purchased a new car. It's a 2002 Acura 3.2TL.
Got it registered today and took it for spin. I'm impressed, driving quality is great. Of course that's my first impression.
I'll have more time to adjust to it in the following months.

Anyways it sure beats the 2002 Acura 1.7EL we have!

Here's a pic Image

Cool, Patrick. They go by the name of Honda over here. I'm in the market for a new car and I'm seriously considering an Accord VTI:

I don't know whether I can stretch it to the V6 (an extra $7000) - depends on the trade in valuation. Guess I can sell all my Ricks (NOT!!!).

My only doubt is whether I'll be able to fit all my Ricks in it, Let alone amp and pedals, etc! Maybe I should be considering a Merc Vito van!! Image

Now, how could that last picture be possibly taken unless the roof and driver side doors were removed? ;-)

An Acura is a higher priced Honda or at least they used to be here. Like Nissan and Infinity.

John: Don't forget that this is Australia - the passenger side doors have been removed. It's actually a cutaway image from the brochure.

Bob: I'm pretty sure that over here it's called a Honda Legend. They all come under the Honda brand here but that one is the top of the range (apart from the NSX, of course!!).

Legend was the name Honda used for the first US Acura model.

I have been driving Hondas since '76, all with 5 speed manual gearbox, great cars. Currently I have an '01 CR-V.

You can't be anything but cool, Jeff! IMO Honda are behind few (if any) when it comes to build, backup, value for money and ethical salespeople!!

Woah, I thought I posted this in the Other's forum. It really doesn't belong in The Beatles!

Bob you're correct! Exactly like Toyota and Lexus. In Japan they don't have the Lexus brand but they sell those models under the Toyota brand.

Yeah, the Legend is now the RL. We had a 1992 Legend untill not too long ago.

Howard, I think your Honda's must come from Japan because they don't have the Acura name brand there and from what I know they have right hand side steering wheels.

I'm not sure if they have the TL, I know it's not exactly the same as the Accord...
The person we bought this one from had his lease coming up so we got a great deal. He got one of the new TL's.

Hey Patrick, congratulations on the new car. That's an awesome machine, and it looks very sharp.

I'm amazed my old Oldmobile Cutless is still chugging along after the beating I've put that thing through in the past few years.

I would like to have something that nice. I drive a Daewoo hatchback. That car, for being a cheap little thing, has really been a reliable little car. I've driven that thing all over the country almost with little problems. The value is pretty well shot now , but like a Timex watch, she keeps on ticking!
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

Oddly enough, Patrick, the lower end Hondas we get here are made in Thailand!!

Ooh, the Live In Japan CD is a great choice too! Listening to good music while taking a nice drive is pretty tough to beat Image.
