80's Japanese Epiphone Casino

Post by porge »

I've got an option on getting a Japanese Epiphone casino from (I'd guess) the early 80's. I've had the "riviera" from this period (same as the Riviera from early Oasis days) and it was great. It's Sunburst and apart from being a bit more "tobacco burst" than the Lennon/Harrison/McCartney, it's pretty much the same. Would work out in $ terms about $550us - about what I can import a nice recent US telecaster for (as a guitarly comparison)

Whaddaya think? Whould I do it? I have 2 Gibsons with P-90's (both LP Specials), and a Guild Hollow-body with P-90's (1955 X-350), and a guild Starfire V - so it really is a bit of a cherry on top instrument.
