I think you may be a little on the high side of breaking even if you go to resell but I certainly don't think you'd take a beating on it either. If you are thinking of buying it with that frame of mind though I would say you should pass and err on the side of caution.

Hey Ken,
I know it's not for sale-I saw the thread. I'm just beating myself up for being asleep when that beauty went away. Those checkers and pearls just don't come up very often-the new owner gets a tip 'o the hat from me!!

Thanks for the tip, Brian.
I'm not a collector, or a wheeler-dealer, but I know that if you're careful you can buy and try things without giving away the farm in the process.
To everyone here on this fine forum, a heart-felt thank you.

Mike, there are very few bargains on E Bay at present, and CS models are probably one of the most sought after models in the last year or so.

This will probably be a $4,000 bass, with only the low feedback that would possibly deter bidders.

I don't think CS models will drop that much in the future either. It seems the bar has been set around the $3-4,000 mark.

The auction ended early. I wonder if he got a great off-line offer? The bidding was up to $3,001.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

I wonder if the guy was just curious to see how much he could get out of it. To end it early is one thing, but to cancel all bids? Hmmmmm
Is everybody ready?

Cancelling bids is part of the procedure used to end an auction early on Ebay. There's nothng unusual about that.
