New Color - Desert GOLD?
From what I can tell in all of the pictures I've seen, the new RIC limited color, "Desert Gold" (DG) looks silver to me. Is this just a trick of the light? Anyone who's seen it close-up, does it look silver or is it really a light shade of gold?
Today I went to Guitar Center of Totem Lake Washington USA and played a 330 Desert Gold , nice feel nice paint work .
two problems that I saw .
1- the action/ playability /height of the brdige was set for slide action .Terrible to play .
2- the stand they have it sitting on is EATING the finish .There are two marks where it touches the legs on the stand and one on the back of the neck from the 'fork' that holds the neck .The stand used surgical tubing as a cushion.
Some one needs to alert some one .I spoke to the manager ....he was not that concerned it seemed.

People that work in music stores have no vested interest in the inventory .... same thing with clothing stores and almost any retail outlet .
Sad to say .... but they just don't care for the mostpart.
If they did .....we would find Utopia.
Humans just want the paycheck so they can "have the weekend" .
Sad to say , but there is more than a grain of truth to it.

That's a good point. When I worked in retail, I did not care about the inventory, or whether something was in stock or not.
I'm just lucky to have found a few stores with some staff who do take care of their gear. Good thing my guitar tech is a Ric lover and not a hater (I just have to make sure he doesn't swipe my 12 string).
