Not news, indeed...I'm recalling the lyrics to Run For Your Life...

How many non-rockstars club their women? Yet do they get books written about them?

I don't know what's wierder: writing about rockstars or reading about them...there's way too much of both going on...

Okay, enough already: the word is spelled weird. It is one of the exceptions to the "... i before e except after c ..." rule.

Let us sing the song of the rebels:

"Rebels are we
Born to be free
Just like the fish in the sea ..."

From Woody Allen's "Bananas"

Dane's right: Our interest in the comings and goings of rockstars is weerd no matter how you spell it. Of course, if I'm not interested in rockstars, why am I in this forum? Because I am weerd.

"I" before "E" except after "C". I love that chord progression! Image

Thanks for the correction, Gary...I studied too much 'Deutsch' in high school...still creeps into my attempts at Englisch schpelling...not to mention its effects on my dipthongs.

If one can be interested in the workings of government without caring much about the private lives of individual politicians, one ought to be able to remain interested in music without giving a damn about the private lives of 'rockstars'...

Dipthongs are prohibited on the beaches in my area.

But are diphthongs?

I hope everyone understands that my 'corrections' are meant in good spirit. I have had my share of goofs, too (I'll never forget the "burgandy" incident ...). Sometimes the gaffs can be most amusing (like the gaffs at engrish.com), so keep 'em coming!

Yes, diphthongs, too. BTW, it's "goophs." And "gaphs." Siriusly!

"Siriusly?"
