Rare see-through pickguard??

I guess "never say never" could be an answer here, but my personal answer is: No Way, Ho-Zay!
It's simply a transparent red acrylic repro guard.

Why someone would expose that chain of drill holes is beyond me.

It's not difficult to make a pickguard out of acrylic yourself - I've made a few in the last 23 years (I bought my first Rick bass, which I no longer have, back in October 1979). I don't think the red see-through pickguard at issue is stock. I would like to hear the experts on this.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

WD Music products and Chandler both make clear red acrylic pickguards , Rick makes one of three;

White -solid /opague

Black -solid /opague

Gold ....this is clear with gold paint on the back side
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!
