Presonus BlueTube Preamp?

Post by craigv »

This is a stereo tube (12ax7) preamp for mic's and instruments. It's only $149...for a stereo tube unit that's a steal if it's any good. I've never seen it in any stores around me. Anyone tried it or heard anything good about it?

Craig,
There are about a dozen reviews on the BlueTube over at Harmony Central:

I read through a few and it seems to be a mixed bag!

Thanks Gary, I didn't find the reviews there the first time I looked (brain fart, no doubt), but in reading them, noise certainly sounds like a problem. I wonder if that's a defect or if it's a user error, since the opinions are either "it's quiet" or "it's unusable it's so noisey".
