Rickenbacker sighting last night ...

Post by doctorwho »

... on NBC's Last Call last night (actually, early this morning), a band was performing whose name I did not catch (I was doing computer stuff with the TV on in the background, nearly missed seeing what instruments were in use). One of the guitarists was playing a 481 Fireglo (!). If I can find more details out, I'll post them.

Gary: I also saw something unusual yesterday. I switched on the TV and saw the final moments of 'Oprah'. Ricky Martin was the musical guest, and one of the musicians standing behind him was holding what looked to be a Coral or Jerry Jones electric sitar! Now I wish I had heard the song...

Thanks, Jason and Randy! I have one of those JJ Electric Sitars, so I would have loved to have heard that song that it was used in.

I may have managed to get a shot of the 481 on video tape (it was the very end of the performance, and I didn't have a chance to review the tape yet); if I did, I'll post it once I get it transfered to digital.
