Rickenbacker Pins
Was wondering if anyone else is collecting Rickenbacker guitar pins out there. Went for years looking for Rickenbacker pins (especially because there are so many Fender-type pins available) and stumbled upon several pins issued by the Hard Rock Cafe and Hotel. Currently have a black 330 from the Aspen HRC, two green 330's from the Las Vegas HRH, a red/orange 330 from the HRC On-Line, a black 450 from the HRC Stockholm and the Holy Grail of Ric pins- a black 330 with John Lennon on the "conchoed" strap (commonly referred to as one of the "dead rocker" series- highly collectable and, yes, I realize they got the model wrong). All of these pins were aquired on ebay. If anyone else out there has this addiction, would like to hear about your collection.

Hi, I've only got 3 left: I've given most away as small gifts to friends and family. I currently have the Black 330 from ASPEN HR Cafe; the Black 450 from Stockholm and an Orange 4001 from Stockholm, too. All were from Ebay, but the Aspen 330 pin is the better of the bunch; you can actually read the work Rickenbacker on the headstock! I'm gonna keep these and also keep my eye open for other different Ric pins. Peace!!! AL A.

Kinda blown away by the idea of a Ric pin with no other logos on it... God, I don't think I've ever seen one. One pin that I am searching for is a black 325 but that has "the Cavern" on it. The wierd thing is for 15 years I worked as a graphic designer producing art for, and directing the production of, pins such as these. If some of the other members here would like to "throw in" and produce a limited run of 360's without logos, I'd certainly be able to produce the artwork and find a company to produce the pin. Just an idea...
If I can, I'll take a shot of it and post a pic of the 355JL pin. I picked it up about 10 years ago at Beatlefest in NJ. I think it was about $15, but I bought it because I had never seen a Rick pin before. I would imagine that they would be plentiful at shows like this. Check over on Voxtalks -- I'll bet you could score one over there!

Just found another Ric pin to add to the collection... it's a very detailed 325v64 from the John Lennon Museum (I believe this museum is in Japan). No logos other than Rickenbacker on the headstock... the museum logo is on the brushed metal presentation case. Pin is about 2" in length. Not in hand yet but should arrive within the week. And the search goes on...
