I recall something (Mark, I believe) mentioned about filling or gluing (possibly a strap lock/button) .. the idea being to get the hole wet before applying wood glue(?) so that as the water dries, it pulls the glue into wood. Do I have that right? and is this true when gluing back a split piece of wood besides a hole?
And.. is Elmer's wood glue better than something like liquid nails.. is there a better glue/epoxy for wood?
