Dictators and bands a match from hell
Now you guys can understand why after years of this kind of K-rap I decided to do my own thing and not play in a band at all.
Jerry you sound like you have utopia. That is great. Based on my own experience, having that much fun on a continual basis in a band is a rare occurrence.

Yeh Dave the Yoko theme keeps popping up all over the place when it comes to bands breaking up.

To me, the whole social dynamic of a band is almost as important as the music it produces. Now, there have been lots of examples of bandmates that just don't get along and yet produce amazing music. From a personal standpoint though, so much time is spent off the stage that I can't imagine being in a situation where you have to travel, teardown, set-up, hang out, arrange tunes, get together setlists, etc. etc. with some *sshole that you can't stand. Life's too short and I agree with Jerry-where is the fun? I guess it all depends on what you're doing with the music too-are you a Rolling Stones music industry or are you somebody who is playing weekends at festivals, clubs, and the like? Suppose there's more incentive in the former situation to "get along." What's the band in question here-I don't want specifics but is it a band we'd all know or a bunch of big fishes in some small pond (or small fishes in a small pond)?

What about Fleetwood Mac??? Double-divorce mania...what a barrel of fun! The things people continue to do when the pile of money's high enough...
Miles Davis once said you can't write good music when you're in love...apparently, some people can't write good music when they're 'out-of-love', either...

I didn't get where I am today by being on time...
