Bridge higain pickup fading in and out

Post by anonymous »

Dear Mark,

Thanks in advance for answering this question.

Recently when playing my 360 six string, the sound from the guitar when its on the bridge pickup fades in and out from time to time and has some crackling as well. The volume from the guitar appears not to be affected when i toggle to the middle selector or the neck selector.

I assume that I will have to have it checked out by a luthier here in France, but, as this brand is so scarce here, few of them will have ever worked on one. I no nothing about electronics and so I would be grateful if you could shed some light on this question.

Best regards,

Maybe the treble volume control is defective, or maybe there's a defective solder connection somewhere in the wiring harness. Whatever it is, anyone with a basic knowledge of electric guitars should be able to help you, David. Salut.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

I got it fixed in December. Actually, my Luthier in Chartres just opened up the electronics cover and sprayed some WD-40 type stuff around and cleaned it. SInce, it has been fine.

since I traded my 660-6 for a 360-12; so now I have both times of 360s. I still need to find the time to dig into the 12 though. The refurbishing of our house and the imminent birth of our third is slowing down my progress.
