Did it last the whole year? My '74 is an April baby and has the red dots.

I believe it was Dale Fortune or maybe Mark Arnquist (hard to remember) who said here that the reason some are red is because the factory was out of black marker dot but they had some red on hand. A quick substitution was made, or so the story goes.

My basses neck is sorta like that.. is that bad?
the shot from the side I mean.. not the holes in the fret board.
