Model 390 - Acoustic? New Acoustics

Does anybody know anything about the model 390 acoustic, I'm not sure when it was made, but there's a photo of Sam Cook holding it. Go to this link to see it: http://www.rickenbacker.com/us/nlacstc.htm
I know they made others but I can't find any info whatsoever. What else did they make?

What's the feedback on the new acoustics pref. the Comstock and Shasta's 6 and/or 12's? I'm sure everyone knows the odds of finding one at their local shop. Would anybody recommend buying one without playing it first? I have a Guild FJ212 which sounds incredible but I find the neck a little too meaty. How do these Rics compare and sound?
