the burst looks a lot better then a solid brown, but it is still the color of feces.

I like it, looks a lot like Tobacco Sunburst...
Very Classic Rickenbacker color, if you read the history of the company. And it looks very cool on 325s or 350s! I feel like they have made two GREAT color choices the last two years, with the Burgundy and now Montezuma Brown...

I have a Tobacco Burst Telecaster (G&L) that looks darn good....however, I had my teeth all set for a new 360 in PurpleGlow....Oh well.
I've had 4 wives but I still have my 60' 360!

Echoes of the late great "Walnut" finish...I am pleased.

The jury's still out;
I want to see how a WHOLE guitar looks in MB.

The MB does seem to fit in with a long hisory of various and sundry browns at RIC, though, from Autumnglo to Walnut, etc.

I don't think you will have to wait long to see the WHOLE guitar, Paul. The NAMM show begins tomorrow and they usually have several guitars/basses on display in the finish of the year. I'll bet there will be plenty of folks posting pics here and over on Voxtalks. This finish looks to me like it is much darker near the edges than either Autumnglo or Walnut though, and based on what is shown at the Rick website, I think they will be very cool guitars. Now the question is, which model will look the best in that finish...hmmmm...

Yeah but *Montezuma* Brown? They could have called it "Tobacco Glo", "Deep Sunglo" or something that wouldn't have conjured up images of, well, you know!

Does Rickenbacker even bother with press releases? It's NAMM time. Why aren't they listed here with other manufacturers?

Who's dropping the ball?

I think a Blue-Burst or a Silver-Burst would have looked better...
