I feel like a midwife (mid-husband?).

The 330 was refretted today, following having the fretboard filled and surfaced to a fare-thee-well.

It's ready for paint and varnish. Wait'll you see it in color!

The 481 will follow about a week behind.

January is a vacation month for me, so lots of backlog will be clearing the shop before I return to teaching and administration on February 2.

That's cool, watching the stages of the restorations. Thanks for sharing Paul, looks like you do fine work.

I just pick them up when I see them, Melissa. There's hundreds of smiley sites. Try Smiley Central.......

We've gotta be careful, though...... Paul and Dane hate them!

Melissa, your 330 was painted today. I'll send you photos tomorrow--my home computer's Photoshop is glitched, so it'll have to come from my work computer.

Still remaining: Clearcoat, sanding, buffing, reassembly, setup, etc.

The color samples for the 481 will be mailed to you on Thursday. I'll start painting it next Monday.

Plans are to ship both of these, along with one or two others in the works, before I leave for NAMM...

Awwwww man! Torture, pure torture, and a thousand times worse when it's my own guitar in the works....

But I will wait patiently--I'm at your mercy, Paul!

But do tell me, is it as beautiful as I imagine it must be?

It will be, Melissa...I got a perfect match on the color.

This is like politics, brain surgery, and sausage making. The finished product belies the half finished one.
