Inspired by sutffonmycat.com the boss of the house allowed me to take his pic with my main axe.Image

I know what you are talking about Scott. My four cats rule my house. They don't live with me, they let me live with them!!! But I love them all like children.

BTW, that's a great picure.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

Thanks Rikk. Actually, the finish on this bass is real admirable. Years ago I wanted to get it refined. (Don't know what I was thinking...) I took it to two luthiers and they both refused the job. They said I was crazy to want to refin the bass and they flat-out refused my money.

Thank God they did.

There are some good honest luthiers around. My bass tech is an experienced luthier. He has told me stories about kids bringing their dad's arch tops in and wanting to add a PAF pickup in the middle of it. He refused the job. The kids mom came in with the guitar stating that it was his fathers and wanted to a pickup in it. He told the mom that the guitar was worth over $12,000 and by routing a new pickup it would kill the value. He told the mom he would trade the guitar for ANY 12 on his wall. She refused. A little while later he found out the music store "at the mall" did the mod. Sad story.
You should send each of these luthiers thank you notes on the anniversary of their declining to do the work;-)

Hehehe..love the cat pictures.

My wife and I just finished getting a room off our master bedroom suite re-tiled, after removing a non-funtional hot tub. My cat was living back there (along with most of my music equipment) so she INSISTED I bathe the cat today! EEEEEK!!!

It's been maybe 6, 7 years since that cat was in the tub (he's an indoor model). Guess he's showing his age (15)...no fight left in him. A few loud cries, but he didn't even try to fight it. Image

I took mercy and was quick. Whole process was over in less than 5 minutes. It's going to take at least 5 hours for him to dry (long haired Persian mix) however...

-"Dogs have masters. Cats have staff."

-A dog and a cat lived in the same house with their owner. The human came home from work every day and gave them both food, water, and shelter.

The dog thought to himself, "Wow, this guy keeps giving me food and water and he lets me sleep and live and play in his house. He's like a god!"

The cat thought to himself, "Wow, this guy keeps giving me food and water and he lets me sleep and live and play in his house. I'm like a god!"

I have never in my life been without at least one cat in my life (we now have three). I am not only their servants, but also their scratching posts and pounce-toys. They bite me and scratch me and jump on me and stalk me and shed all over everything and bug me when I'm trying to do work. And they're still the cutest things in the universe.

I agree with that! My cats rule the roost around here! I wouldn't have it any other way either.

That's actually incorrect. Cat's don't think that they are God . . . they KNOW IT!

I love that picture! The trick for me is to get a shot of one of my raccoons with the bass..........but it's hard to get them to sit still long enough for a planned photo. Unless there's food involved. I'll have to work on this one..........
