Bass book is a "go."

Keith, the hours I've spent so far are nothing compared with what's ahead. I've only written a little in a couple of chapter and an intro, but have photographed more than 100 basses at the confluences so far, gotten a raft of good photos from Mike Parks, preliminary photos of Simon's collection, and lots of promises from other forumites. There will be a lot of holes to fill. John Hall hopes to be able to help on the historical archive side, but can't until after this calendar year (75th anniversary efforts that we still don't know about). Like I said, this is a long process.

One of the problems writers and editors have on a reference book is determining when to stop gathering information and when to publish. I could research the subject till the cows come home, but that wouldn't get the book out. I have to set goals and determine some sort of finish date and stick to it. If I'm missing something, well, hope I get it for the first reprint. ;^)
