These are very sought after hand built amps. I don't think they are worth that kind of money, however!

You're right Tony, I would buy two amplifiers. Ha Ha.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Funny thing Peter, I was thinking.....

A used Corvette, a FEW new basses, or something (shun the thought) practical, like helping pay for my son's college tuition, paying down the mortgage, car repairs, a few more MORE BASSES, a heck of a VACATION......oh, did I mention, A FEW MORE BASSES????Image

I wonder how HIGH this thing will go?

Granted the price is too high but supposedly there is only like a couple hundred of these amps around. Handmade by Alexander Dumble of California. It's the first one I've ever seen.

From what I've seen, used Dumbles typicaly start used at $10k US and up. Apparently Alexander Dumble has only built around 200 amps in total since the 70s, and he only builds for certain players. I saw a price of $25K for a newly ordered 50W Overdrive Special head (2005) in a discussion on another forum. At that time the person who had ordered it was on a 36 month waiting list for his.

Robben Ford, Billy Gibbons, Carlos Santana are a few players that use Dumbles. The tone and touch response of Dumbles is quite legendary.

If cash was not a concern, I would bid on this one. They are very, very rare.
