What model is this cabinet?

Post by flatwound »

I have an old Rickenbacker cabinet..sort of a strange shape, narrower at the top than at the bottom..4 Jensen 10" speakers, silver tolex covering.."rickenbacker" name tag. All the metal bits, including the input jack, and tolex remind me of a '66 Rick 12 i had..silver case. Someone told me Rickenbacker made it for a steel guitar. Anybody here know what this is..and i guess it'spretty rare..how much it would be worth to a collector. (it sounds great btw)

It's silver...but it's 4x10s, not what appears to be 2x12s as in the other B 22 pictured in this forum.

so maybe Ric made a custom silver 4x10 extension cab? The pic above has a 100 watt, all tube, ptp, Plush head on top..if you can get past the tuck n roll (but i like it)..a serious amp, copied straight from a pre cbs showman. The combo of the two is amazing, and louder than ..wha? did you say...

You are the lucky owner of a Rickenbacker 4/10 extension cabinet. It was on the price list as late as 1966. They didn't make very many. I've been looking for one for years.
Show him the shirts, Adrian.
