Truss rod cover - Made in USA

Post by beatlenut »

I've seen pictures of the truss rod cover and they don't say Made in USA. The one I bought last night 2002 330 Jetglo has "Made in USA" on the bottom of it. Is this something that was added in recent years? Just curious since I saw one without those words in the for sale forum. My cover is attached. Image

'Made in USA' began appearing in 1964 parallel to 'Rickenbacker'.

In 1968 'Made in USA' was moved to be parallel with the nut, and often had the model number listed as well.

Sometime in the seventies (I think), the model number was removed.

As far as I know, the C series guitars have the first truss rod covers lacking the 'Made in USA' since early 1964.
