I see Kendall's handle in the bid history list... glad to see that he's still into Rics. I miss his posts here. He had a really cool collection.

I've been thinking about making this a set neck Blackstar. At first glimpse of it, I almost thought it was.

My 4004 Blackstar project was around $1700 total for the new JG Laredo, black hardware and Paul's fretboard refinishing. It was the route I chose to take since there were no Blackstars for sale in some time and I was smitten with the 4004 series anyway.

Anything can be converted to a Blackstar look-alike but then it isn't "real".....and that's where the premium $$$$$ comes in.

I received mine yesterday...Along with everything else that I had bid on and lost.

For some reason, it looks like a lot of the second chance offers are coming from the U.K. these day.
