My New Job!
Hello everyone!
Well, my four-month tenure in New Orleans will be over next week, because, as they say, it is time for a new challenge.
Wait 'till you hear this. Are you sitting down? Good.
Beginning mid-way through May, I, Kenny Howes, will be living in Southern California, working for my favorite guitar company.
That's right. I have accepted a job offer from Rickenbacker, in a customer service capacity.
I'm really looking forward to the new gig and I would like to publicly thank John Hall and company for giving me a shot.
In other news (as if THAT wasn't cool enough):
- The new Kenny Howes solo album is mixed! Titled "Lady Friend" (and featuring a cover of the song of the same name, originally recorded by The Byrds), the record will hopefully see a late summer/early fall release. In a return to form, the 12-song full-length recording features Mr. Kelly Shane on drums, and Kenny on everything else. The added bonus is that the new album was recorded on 24-track, 2" analog tape and sounds fabulous. Probably no touring for this one though, as the day job calls. Stay glued to your sets!
I'll write again soon and keep all y'all in the loop.
Rock-N-Roll!!!!!

Congratulations Kenny. All the best at Rickenbacker.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Ditto on the congratulations, Kenny! You'll be working only 1.1 miles from where I work at Synthetic Blood International, Inc. in Costa Mesa - we should do lunch some time! I'll even bring my 1993 370/12v64 FG along so you'l be able to say that you actually saw one in person!
If you need some generic help in the relocation process, let me know and I'll do what I can to help (I'm only a chemist, after all!).
