Thanks John. Sad news indeed. His contribution to the Beatles will not be forgotten.

I wondered why he was not on keyboards with Clapton at Albert Hall last week. He passed away at a hospital just about 15 minutes away from me here in Scottsdale.
Leprosy is rare & scarce but nobody wants that!

Just finished reading the article from the AP wire. I need to go dig out the Beatles Get Back album and listen to that as well.

I had the pleasure of meeting Billy Preston a while back at a Beatles convention in Philadelphia. He seemed to be a real nice down to earth guy. He will be missed. R.I.P. Billy.

He played some mean Hammond on Sam Cooke's Night Beat LP too. This sucks.

Heartbreaking. Billy Preston was the best. Just listen to him on the Concert for George....what a sad, sad loss
