B-410 Rick Amp Head - 1973

Post by anonymous »

I have come across an amp head model B-410. It takes 4-6L6GC power tubes and 5 12ax7 tubes, and has a circuit board so it is a hybrid tube/transistor amp with reverb. It is a really big head - 27 1/2" wide. It is covered in black tolex. The knobs are just like the knobs on late-60's early 70's Rick guitars.

Does anyone have a schematic for this head? Everytime I plug it in it blows a fuse. It may have had a different output tranny installed. Everything else looks to be stock. I would like to get it working again.

Thanks

I have serviced a great many of these. I have all of the parts necessary to restore the amp, including any transformers. The schematic should be available at the RIC website.

Tracy--

Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately, I didn't check the board for a while and received your message just today. On the fortunate side, I found an amp tech who was undaunted by the project, replaced a few things, put some Svetlana power tubes in it, and it is a great head! Sings like a Twin and very quiet.

Thanks again for your reply.

And here's another 410 head that's come available!
