I love it too. I have talked to many dealers in the US and they do not know what they will get yet. Some care and some do not. I also called Ric this morning and asked if they were really taking orders yet. They said not until next week, even though the web info is up now. That matches what I have heard from dealers. Some dealers are meeting in person at the Big Event with the Halls, so they will know more after that.
Nice to know what it really looks like. That may give dealers a more realistic view of who really wants these. Before yesterday's news release, there may have been alot of folks who got on a list without knowing what they're getting. Some may drop off now that it's official.
Good news for me if that happens, as I hope to climb up the ladder someplace, hopefully driving distance but not likely I think.

Tony, I guessed the color combo correctly but to be honest two others before me Kaia and Ethan) were awful close, they just did not put it all together. My guess was just a lucky guess inspired by the clues and the two forumites I mentioned. "With a Little Help From My Friends" seems appropriate right now.
I am surprised that some don't like the color. I love it. There's little or no chance I could get a 75th instrument in Canada though I reckon.

Excellent Brian! HA! (I was still able to fix this one)!
So do you get a free guitar of your choice or what? There should have been some goodie awarded for that call! Heck, at least a Tee shirt!
I think the color is sweet myself! I normally don't like metal flake colors, but this one looks like it will be a keeper if indeed one can be had.

Tony,
You guys are going have to quit calling me Brain. You're giving me a quite a complex.

Sorry Brian,
I must be low on my Medication again! Hey, at least its a nice Freudian slip!
The REALLY SAD thing is, I had to re-read your post 3 TIMES before I spotted my error! LOL! Oh man, I'm TOAST!

I like what I can see from the photo's. Much nicer job than any other anniversary models from other builders. Not too much or too little. Considering how busy they are I was surprised at this much effort for such a limited run.
I find the color/pickguard combo a class act.
Big surprise to me again is the fair pricing from RIC. Most companies beat you up on their special editions. Lord knows RIC could demand a ransom for the 75th models, yet they chose not to.
As far as getting one from anywhere, it may take a Kings ransom.
Well done RIC.
(Brian, I was hoping for a 75th Anniversary Lemmy and a date with Jessica Simpson)

I'm just happy to be here.
Well I don't really like the color much myself. Too dark and other than being a 75th anniversary bass with a gawdy guard and TRC, there's not much there for me. Maybe if it had checkerboard binding and FWMOP inlays it may have gotten more attention from me IMHO. I feel the same way as Jack...it's just not for me. Move over Brian...I hope I doesn't get too hot!

Gary,
Now let me see. Lemmy signature model bass or Jessica Simpson? Lemmy bass or Jessica Simpson?
Lemmy bass wins by a nose. You can have Jessica Gary.
