I have a 4080 and I just removed the neck of the 6 string which was at an angle and I noticed it was purposely cut for that angle to be offset. Does anyone know if the 2 necks are meant to be parallel to one another? It looks like the offset angles are on purpose and that no modification was ever done to this bass. Obviously I don't want to straighten something that was supposed to be at an angle, probably for placement of the strings on the bridge at a guess.
Here are some pics but I don't know how to post bigger ones so they may be useless.

That was quick! Thanks Paul.
Seems like an odd thing to do. All the other double necks I have seen from other manufacturers seem to have parallel necks. Any idea why Rickenbacker decided to tilt the 6 string neck angle? Were all Rick Double Neck guitars done this way?
Yes, notice the guitar pickups. The bridge pickup is sitting on top of the body while the neck pickup is buried in the pickguard, "below sea level," so to speak. Or maybe "below SEE level." Hence, the neck angle.
The 4003 has a flat profile, in contrast. That freaked me out when I got mine, too, but has not been a problem.
