Very true, Jerry. I'm quite sure, if John had lived to be 60+, there would have been sides to him too, that we didn't adore. As it is with Paul. But John chose Paul as his partner in music. John wouldn't have shared credits with anybody. John and Paul together was a very lucky strike.
Searchers amongst my teenage favourite music. Still fond of them, but earnestly a little puzzled they are considered THIS big! But I'm very excited about this forum, and will love to read it regularly, and also contribute!

If you want to see Paul comfortable, in a very well done interview conducted by his daughter Mary, check out the Wingspan DVD. It's on youtube in segments. The guy is human. He has an ego? Of course. But it's good to see him being interviewed by someone he feels comfortable with and who isn't asking him if the Beatles will ever get back together. I would love to have him as a friend.

Yeah, but we're talkin' about a guy who has gone on record as saying (something to this effect)..."sometimes when I'm out in the garden, I'll think...Hey, I'm Paul McCartney".

C'mon...though I didn't get his quote exactly right (someone here will correct me...fair enough), his quote still cracks me up to this day!

Two sides of a coin, absolutely true, and vital, in most creative endeavours...but a coin has a thin third side...the edge...(no, not the guitarist from U-2, but rather THEE guitarist...Mr. George Harrison).
How much!?!

Tom Petty said the same thing...you're walking around doing normal things, then it might hit him...hey, I'm that famous Tom Petty guy.

Probably the same for all people of great accomplishment, you're normal, and you're special.

I remember a comic doing a bit on Neil Armstrong. Their he is walking his trash to the curb and he looks up and sees the moon. He says to himself, I've been there and then empties his trash. Just a different perspective.

Yesterday, on the paulmccartney.com message board, someone posted a "track list" or a "chapter list" of the DVD... Although unofficial, all of the songs we mentioned (Please Please Me, Bathroom Window, et al) look as if they're included. Image

Thank god that all of the new songs made it, except for "In Spite of All The Danger."

The ones that were left out were Hey Jude, Band On the Run, Jet, Back in the USSR, Long and Winding Road, Blackbird, and Let It Be. However, those are all included on "Back in the US" so I think that's fair.

Can't wait to see Too Many People & Bathroom Window Image.

I doubt that Hey Jude and Let it Be will be excluded. Now that I think about it LAWR should be on there too.

I'd like to see him do just one tour without, Hey Jude, LAWR, Let it Be, Yesterday and maybe a few others and really dig into the catalog and play more album tracks. Some old AOR tracks.

Richard: Hey Jude and Let It Be are in there, but I have read that they are the background music for the 'extras.' (Such as the production crew bit, credits, and so forth).

Cool, he put all the junk at the beginning so you can skip it! Not trying to be mean, but that Cd bored the hell out of me. I've listened to it only 1 1/2 times since I got it when it came out. The first time I wanted to turn it off, but I forced myself to listen to it. The second time I turned it off.
