First Aussie Confluence for 2007

Post by rick_ovic »

The impending arrival of Dave Pascoe and his lovely wife Lisa to our sunny shores has given us the perfect excuse for another show'n'tell get together in Melbourne.

This time we are moving to a venue larger than my family room, which should accommodate all of the Rickenbackers we have amongst us, as well as providing a stage and pa so we can act like real rock stars.

I even get to play drums again...wooohooo! Image

Dave's travel arrangements have meant that we're holding the event between 1.00pm and 6.00pm on Tuesday January 16. The jam session will be followed by dinner at a restaurant overlooking Port Phillip Bay, so if you can't make the jam session you might care to join us for dinner afterwards.

The confluence is open to all Forumites, however in the interests of security, the location will be disclosed offline. Please feel welcome to email me for more details (my email address is in my profile).

From chats with both of them on New years eve, seems like we're going to be invaded by many a forumite during the year!

Oh dear....... I have a spare one here but I guess that's not much good to you, is it? Maybe you could invest in one of those fancy 'LED' thingys. Then again, you'd need batteries for that.....

Last night, I dreamed that I had won the lotto and chartered a jet for a trip down under to attend the 2007 Aussie Confluence. I was on my way to pick up a couple of other forumites when I woke up.

Now if dreams can come true! Image

That sounds like you woke up this morning with light in your eyes, and then realized it was still dark outside....
When you're going throught hell, just keep going. If you stop you'll be there forever.
