Rics on wireless

I use a Shure wireless similar to Brian's, and there is no difference I can perceive between that and using a cord. I wouldn't go on stage with out it - I love it.
Also, Brian is right about the battery life - one new Duracell, Energizer, etc. has more life than I'll ever need for a gig (the Shure literature says 8-12 hrs continuous, if I remember correctly). I use a new 9V battery each gig.
I also use rechargeable 9V batteries, but only for home practicing. My band practices in a room that is super tight, with no room to move around, so I practice with the wireless and rechargeables to get the cords out of there and keep me from stepping on and kicking out the cord. I bought a 9V battery charger and two rechargeable 9V batteries (for about $20 or so if I remember correctly), and I just rotate them and keep them charged at all times. They aren't real common, so I had to find them online. They last about 3 to 3.5 hours per charge, so you don't want to use them on stage! It will be nice if/when the technology improves so that I can use rechargeables full time and ditch the disposables altogether.
