“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”
― Kurt Vonnegut
I thought the bass player played a heavily modified Rick with a huge metal pick guard. That's not the one shown here, but I thought I saw it on the forum at one time.
He does, or did. I don't know what that is, although I've seen it on a dvd I have. The neck looks about half the size of a Ric neck on the dvd; I assume it may be custom built. Unless his tech has taken the chisel to his Ric yet again....(ony joking - I hope!)
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
He's got another Ric he plays in a video I saw that has a ton of little switches on it. What they're for, I don't know, as there are only 2 pickups on the bass.
What are you talking about! They are in the Guiness Book of World Records for being the loudest band ever!!!! At least that's what they're claim to fame is on a VH-1 special I watched.
WOW...very critical bunch. I like 'em......their first 4 or 5 cd's at least. Joey DeMaio is quite a good bass player as well (a bit too flashy at times but has a strong tone and some killer lines). I certainly don't like the looks of his Rics and pseudo-Rics but he sure can play them.
But what do I know since most of the idols worshipped around here make my skin crawl.
