McGuinn did the intro to MTM, didn't he? (I always heard he was the only Byrd to actually play on the record...)

Kenny: You are correct, McGuinn did the intro.

I think that Glen Cambell did some initial touring and then turned down a full role in the band, opening the door to Bruce Johnson.

Just saw GC on TV playing "Galveston". It was live and he still plays and sings great. He played a beat-up Strat. His other guitarist played a Dano 6-string bass for the solo.

Anyway, back to the original question: I've been helping John out on his recording projects, and managed to bring home a couple of snapshots, which are now here for your perusal.

Having just gone back to your post, I see the pics now. At first all I saw was a pair of the little "Post your picture here" icons with the tree pic coming outta the folder. Hmmm...must be the blaster worm affecting my 'puter.

Kenny, can you enlarge those pics a bit? I think I need a magnifying glass, but those look like some cool guitars!

I would love to, but the pics have to be a certain (small!) size to be posted here. Peter?

I think they can be a maximum of 35K.... I'm not sure how many pixels that translates to.

just my 2 cents: I don't think it'll take anything larger than 500 x 500 and That's too bad.

Pete kicked up the image file size limit a few months ago. It's more than adequate to display anything with great detail (well, maybe not display wallpaper!) if you have the ability to control the compression ratio.

If you need an image posted, send it to mortivanATwideopenwestDOTcom and I'll do it for you. Just don't send it to my Yahoo address!

The current limit is 36K exact and 500 X 500 pixels. The rationale for this is two threefold. First, it allows for a reasonable download time as not everyone is on high speed internet as yet. Second, 500 X 500 does not displace the right page frame and so it is easier to read and navigate. Third, over an extended period this information accumulates which translates quickly into increased costs.
