31 Flavors
I talked to a friend of mine this evening who said that he wants to buy a used 4001 just like the "Oreo Rickenbacker" he used to have years ago! I asked him if he meant a Jetglo 4001 and he just repeated himself, the old Oreo bass.
So, what "flavor" is your Rickenbacker? Mine is one of those "RedHots" (I think that's what're called), you know those tiny, real spicy candies. That would be Fireglo for you greenhorns.

I saw a really nice original Rose-Morris 1997 in a shop in Chicago once, with what I consider the perfect Fireglo (my '67 330 comes close), yellowed beautifully in the center and not too dark on the edges.
The salesman referred to it as "Pumpkinburst," a term I still use today when referring to that type of Fireglo.

Mmmmmm.... Sounds like dessert time! I have 3 Oreo's (330/12, 481, 4001v63), a couple in Cherry (bright fireglo: a '67 365 and a new Comstock) Black Cherry (a darker fireglo 360/12), a Blueberry (330 midnightblue), a somewhat burnt pumpkinburst (1981 330 fireglo) and a deliciously swirled Caramel (figured mapleglo 381). Bon Appetit!
