I have been trying for two days to put a picture of my bass rig on the forum. Will someone please help. thanks grendel

All you need, Grendel, is a photo resizing program like PIXresizer:

Mitch, they need to be 500 x 500 pixels or less and file size of 35k or smaller. If you save the pics as jpegs at Internet Resolution (72) pixels, you'll get there.

Nice, easy program, Paul. I found something interesting as I resized a pic from the factory tour and asked Firefix to view the page source - inside the coding for the jpeg picture is the type of camera that took the picture and the date and time it was taken, among other things. Didn't know that!

John A., photobucket does the same thing. This is encoded in most, if not all, digital pictures! However, it only saves the most recent modification of the jpg. So the best you'll have is a "no later than" date.

Yeah, I wondered how Photobucket always had that info there. Wondered why everyone would take the time to enter that info when posting a picture. Come to find out it is encoded in the header of the picture. DOH!

These days, almost every digital camera, the most common files, and associated software supports EXIF, with minor variations.
