Fury and Mortivan. These photos have quite a bit of flash which really makes them look less brown than they really are. Perhaps John Barnes will comment on their appearance. I will post another photo below of a 2003 Model 330 in Montezuma Brown which is quite different in appearance. I consider this photo to be a truer representation of Montezuma Brown.

From these photos, the MB reminds me of the 3 tone sun-burst that Fender offered in the late 50's to early 60's...any else agree with me?

Al...yes it does. Also, I have a G&L ASAT in Tobacco with a black pickguard which is a dead ringer for Peter's photo of the 330 in MB.
I'll bet that 330 would be even more beautiful with a black pickguard....yummy...

Peter,
The true color does not really come through even with a good digital cam, I did not try to color correct. The darkest area of the finish (to me) is like a deep gloss rootbeer brown, there is a constant brown transition to mapleglow..... there is no red tint in this baby (thanks Pete)
Hummmmmmmmmm,Gotta think about that one... OK, I'm done.....

Not exactly Fireglo, or Autumnglo, or tobacco,or even sunburst; kinda all of that, but...none of that. Nice....

Thanks John. I think a photo during natural daylight without the flash might reveal the "rootbeer brown" of which you speak.
