Picture: Yes, early seventies. From a period I remember reading one reporter comparing Adamson's hairstyle to that of Diana Ross!

Anyone working on the great Searchers VHS compilation?

Searchers amongst my teenage favourite music. Still fond of them, but earnestly a little puzzled they are considered THIS big! But I'm very excited about this forum, and will love to read it regularly, and also contribute!

Yes I have the video Story Of Merseybeat and a good portion of it is given to The Searchers.

One interesting video I have and indeed have wrote about in a article called The Final Frontier which Tim Viney may publish in a edition of his magazine relates to a performance by The Searchers in 82, loads of Sire stuff performed, this was done just as Video was becoming available to the masses.

Roy,
Was LP#9 among the songs, & did it feature close-up shots of the fretboards during the solo sections?

I'm joining in quite late in this discussion but I also saw the Searchers on Solid Gold. They lip synced to the original version of Love Potion #9.

This was of course during the Spencer James era. I've got the tape somewhere.

Hi Roy,
That's cool, it can wait 'till you get back from vacation (holiday).
