Left handed 360 or 330 in red and black?

Post by simondohertyuk »

Does anybody know if it is possible to order a 330 or 360, 12 or 6 string through the UK distributor? Are red ones made anymore?
cheers

Don't know about a 330 or 360, but here's a link to a red/black 620/12 at Pick of the Ricks.

That 620/12 LH at Pick was mine. I traded it and another guitar for a v63 bass. The 620 was a great guitar in very good shape.

The black trim isn't offered any more, and red was discontinued a few years ago.

What were the reasons for discontinuing the red color? What about a custom order, is it possible to get it then?
The colors on offer are a little bland considering we are in 2003. Whats this new color people are talking about?
thanks

Simon: Perhaps John Hall will speak briefly to this question. In the meantime, it is my understanding that one of the least requested Rickenbacker colours was red, at least in the past while. While I understand that some of the "color of the year" choices may seem bland, they do represent historical colours and as such are popular. They harken back to the "early" days and this has been an important consideration for some enthusiasts buying vintage reissues and the "C Series."
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
