I'd like to hear this band Glay, is their sound "janglely"? And what does Glay mean in Japanese? I am on my sixth Rickenbacker(patiently waiting for delivery of a 350v63 Mont Brown), but I like the idea of small special production runs like this...
"This is the big one, Elizabeth, I'm coming to join ya, honey!"

I went to three of their websites...no pics of Ricks, only fenders and gibsons and some pointy '80's looking guitar...Glay means gray in Japanese...they wear Boy Georgian quantanties of make up, and their music is typical for the region and time frame...if I owned a guitar company, I wouldn't want them representing my product...I feel it would undo the legendary status! Go to UBL.com and enter Glay in the search and you'll find 'em. BTW, their guestbook does have a lot of entries from China (and one from me asking where their Ricks are!), though when I was in China western music was all I heard.

Steve Barr over at the Dude Pit did a limited run of 25 custom "Dude Pit" Lakland basses. Similarly, if there was to be a "Rick Resource" custom order, it would probably have to be initiated by a dealer (who has a good realtionship with RIC). Perhaps one bass and one guitar would be available, with a variety of finishes. I think bass players would welcome a 4001 V68, (I'd be in for sure),but it might be a bit messier for guitar players to decide on a model and configuration.
