May Pang Interview

Post by The Guitarfather »

For those who know me, May is a friend of mine. She just sent this link and I'd like to pass it on here. Enjoy.

Thanks for posting! If you speak to her, please tell her I'm an admirer....only exposure I've had is obviously from what I've read, but it seems to me she's really responsible for saving John's life...

Best wishes to her...

Bill, I spoke to her, as rediculous that this may sound as I am writing it myself, she said thank you.

Too funny, just confirms my impressions, a very nice person. It's an interesting chapter in Beatles history, and I'm kinda surprised not more folks are chiming in on the thread here. I really never knew much about that period in John's life until I read Larry King's bio on Lennon. As Ms. Pang states in her own site, it was a prolific period in John's solo career, even with all the excesses that have been reported during that time.

Cheers, Bill

I almost posted yesterday, but it was later than it is now. I've read that Lennon was fairly productive and musical during the time with May Pang, and supposedly talked about writing with McCartney again. All good things. I'd been proud of hanging onto the old Playboy magazine with the Lennon interview, but as time has gone on I've wondered how much of it was really true.

That interview was terrible. It hurt a lot of feelings, and when I asked people that John was with, They say it was very upsetting.. they're even more upset that he died and that interview was his swan song. From what I got, he was very jealous of Paul and he liked "Coming Up". He felt strongly that if Paul could have a hit he could too. Makes you wonder why he was so bitter towards everybody.
