Tail piece screws.
New guy on the forum - Hi, folks.
My basses: Noticed yesterday when I changed strings on the mapleglo that the four tail piece screws needed tightening, they where all pretty loose. I guess the vibrations over the years have its effect.. Just a tip to you all, check those screws when you have the opportunity!
Cheers.

Welcome to the forum, Ole. All the screws and strap buttons should be checked periodically on a bass guitar. Make them snug, but never over tightened.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Yeah, what Joey said + 1!
And your bass should have five tailpiece screws.

So true, just try to convince the Rickenbacker boutique of that so they will make this variant available soon...wints wrote:Welcome Ole.

Real tails should also have a missing tooth!

Welcome, Ole!

I suspect some of the taipice-lift cases started with loose screws. It can also rob the bass of sound and sustain.
Re: Tail piece screws.
Ole, Welcome to the forum. Good advice. My wife constantly asks if I have a screw loose. Better check those basses just in case.
Re: Tail piece screws.
Welcome to the forum Ole - snug screws, not over-tight,,, good point.
