Ricks in space???
Well, not quite, but this seemed like a good idea for a pic last night:
Left to right:
'85 4003
'86 Shadow
'83 4002

Nice!
I was fortunate enough to play a Shadow and a 4002 at RIO and they are now high on my want list!

Jdog, it almost looks like your basses are in some 3-D TV show!
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: Ricks in space???
Ha!!! Thanks guys.
Tone-man, that '85 is the one!!! It's for sale in the For Sale section. To answer how good the Shadow is, well the '85 for sale should say it all!

WHY is my timing ALWAYS so bad?
Re: Ricks in space???
The Shadow I checked out had a great neck! Very comfortable! Unfortunately I didn't plug it in.

There"s an old type button push thingy ........that was used for words on paper.......way back in Space...Red Dwarf !
It's too early in the morning to talk about our relationship !

Shadows are known to have thin fast necks.teeder wrote:The Shadow I checked out had a great neck! Very comfortable! Unfortunately I didn't plug it in.
Re: Ricks in space???
My Shadow neck is really thin and fast, but the '85 is actually slightly thinner and faster. But not enough difference to warrant keeping both.

Re: Ricks in space???
The thread title reminded me of my old band in the 90s, we were called 9 Worlds, a 3-piece with me on Hamer 12-string bass, and our guitarist played a 330 and a S.Hoffs. We gigged regularly at a club in Houston that was popular with the astronauts. They dug us, probably because of the band name, and would give us mission patches everytime they went up. One flight took our CD along and played it in orbit....so, Rics in Space!
