Re: Hard Decision - Help me out!!!
Not sure, but I've got a WB in AZ, the only other guy I personally know with an AZ finsish, also a WB (at least in a 24 fret version), is a guy I used to be in a band with. We each have one, unless he's made the mistake of selling his! Your 4001 and my WB would look great next to each other, but I would keep the AZ 4001 if I were you!pineder wrote:Thanks guys, I'm still doing some research on both of them. Is it true that only 1% of all Ricks were ever painted Azureglo?
Re: Hard Decision - Help me out!!!
Hey all, I've made my decision. I wanted to say thanks to the members here, helping me decide on which to keep.
After much playing over the weekend and going over each bass with a fine tooth comb, I have decided to keep the Jet-glo. Not only is it the rarer of the two with the black accents, condition-wise it is better (time-machine to 1980; no rust, dings, or playwear). Playability is better and it's lighter. Most importantly, the sound is the same.
Now to another question, what would be a good asking price for the Azure-glo? I can provide more pictures if needed. If there is another spot on the forum that is more applicable for this question, please let me know.

Re: Hard Decision - Help me out!!!
I would expect to get between $1400 - $1800 for it, based on sales of 4001/3 azureglo basses I've tracked on Ebay in the last 1.5 years.
