eBay did nothing, and someone paid $81 for a fake TRC. I think I'll email him.

Hey-
I'm in no way deffending the seller. What they are doing is questionable indeed.
BUT-
Although it might seem to be a good idea to inform the buyer; I don't think that
they would be delighted by the good news(If they don't know it's a fake). Or they
might not even care; they might have bought it simply because they couldn't get
one any other way....

Propper ethics tells us that telling would be the right thing to do...
But what about the other side(buyer)?

Just a thought....

From experience-
I've bought a few things on the bay that turned out not to be what they were purported
to be and the emails I had receievd to that end were of no real help. Although there
were well wishers, all they really did was make me feel like an idiot and I don't need
help in that department....

Maybe the winning bidder hasn't paid yet and will want to reconsider going through with the deal.

I also wrote him that I informed eBay, and they didn't pull the auction.

Ebay have been letting that auction go through again and again. I even suspect that this is the same seller that sold me my fake one. (different name but other things about the seller look the same)
you can only tell them so many times....

Hope you're right.
This stuff will happen when the originals become unavailable.
When I saw that Rick had stopped selling TRCs outright, I felt
it was just a matter of time....

Am I also crazy here, but faking a raised letter TRC ?

What a world......!
