Body shape is...
Oh, heck, I can't go on.

I Like the green one, as a guitar. i don't agree with fake ric name plates on non rics. You wanna copy something, ok but don't try and pass it off. Ric builds greta guitars, it's just a shame that they and every other american instrument company has priced them beyond the reach of many semi pro musicians. Glad I got mine back in the 87 and 90 ish. Shoulda bought that $1900 capri 45 a few years back, but didn't have the bucks.

Re: Rickenbacker Knock Offs
The price range of Ricks puts the low end models right where they should be if you're looking for a quality, American-made music tool. And even with the recent jump in Rick prices, a nice used 330 is still in the range of an American made Strat.
And the price is all-meat, no filler, no ups, no extras, and no packs unlike many Strats, Teles, and especially Les Pauls, which are stratospheric considering what you get!

Well this one's not a million miles off the mark is it?
Looks as near as dammit the real McCoy to me.

Re: Rickenbacker Knock Offs
It's a good job all right, or it looks good, from what I can judge (thanks to authentic parts), but if someone's that good why don't they come up with their own design, or get a job with RIC? That's stupid, or greedy, or both, but it's an insult to their own talent to make fakes that good. And will only bring them trouble.
All I wanna do is rock!
Re: Rickenbacker Knock Offs
I disagree, on the price issue, quality is not unique to American guitars. I have played some awful Gibsons, Rics, Fenders, Gretsch guitars, etc. and some very nice foreign made guitars, like the $249 Epiphone dot that blows the nearest priced Gibson out of the water. That said Rics are worth a lot simply cause they are amazingly crafted guitars, and they take a lot of time and care, I still think 2000 is a very little bit high for a 330. Next guitar I buy will require serious thought. of course if rick made a 345 capri, I would go into dept. But a bare bones SG or Strat should never cost more than $600 bucks. Plus these companies are so hard to deal with that small shops couldn't carry them at all.
Re: Rickenbacker Knock Offs
I think paying for a fake is gross. If you make a one off in the same style for your own use and don't try and pass it off as a real Ric, I think that is okay. Look at all the LesPaul and Strat Copies. The fernandez is okay, but I would feel like a fraud playing it.

Some days, the level of agita displayed here over bad copies just cracks me up.
