Need another 660
I have always loved the 330 and 360. I mean really loved. I recently bought a 660 AFG and I believe it just blows the others away. I love the sound through my 71 Twin and newer Marshall DSL401. I absolutley love the 1 and 3/4 neck. I like the solid and non-hollow sound.
My problem is that I want a 12 string now. I always think of a Ric 12 string as 330 or 360. I think I should get a 660/12 in addition to my 660/6.
Does this sound resonable? Am I being silly here?

I guess if you really like the neck it's a good idea to get the 12-string version. You might regret having a stable with only solid-bodies though.

Yeah, do it. You've got a case of RAS anyhow. And as we all know, the only help for it is another Rick!

Go for it, I have one, and I don't regret buying it
Re: Need another 660
I went crazy and bought three Ricks this summer--a 360, a 330/12, and a 660/12--and the 660 is the one that's still endlessly delighting me. I don't think the honeymoon will ever be over between me and that guitar!
If you've got the dough, do it. Chris Clayton at Pick of the Ricks has one in Blueburst for sale right now.

A 660/12 is an investment you won't regret! I find 12s a challenge but the 660 is a breeze, and a great sounding guitar to boot!

I love the 360 I have
The 660/6 AFG is the best guitar I ever played by far. The neck is awesome.
I just hav it in my mond that I need a 330/12. Not sure why but when funds aloow it, I think a 330/12 will do.
thanks everyone

Re: Need another 660
I have a 360/12 and a 660/12, and the 660/12 gets nearly all of my 12-string attention. It's funny, the distance between strings isn't much different, but it does seem to magically help my playing, which requires every little bit possible.
Re: Need another 660
You answered your own question, IMHO. You absolutely dig the 660/6, right? Nothin' about it is a negative. For real, go get a 660/12. Gotta go with what appeals to your sensibilities. Good luck on the search, brah. Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.
