RIP Jerry Reed

Wow. The guy was a king. GREAT player and funny man all around. I grew up listening to his records and watching him on Hee Haw and in the movies.

I was raised on his and Chet Atkins' stuff. My parents drug me to the county fair in Pleasanton , CA to see him play six times in five nights back around 1974 or 1975. Kind of a sad thing to hear about his death.

When you're hot you're hot, Jerry. They will be jamming in Heaven like they never did before. You will be missed.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

A big talent with lots of personality and not a lot of pretense. He'll be missed.

Oh, this is sad news.... :(

Amos Moses is one of the best songs ever, and never fails to make me smile--we had it cranked on the car stereo when Aitch came to visit a couple of years ago, with much laughter.... We love Jerry Reed, and he will be missed indeed.
